Izzy Palmer
Born in September 2000, Izzy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, causing right hemiplegia, before her first birthday.
She began riding at the age of 2 and aged 11, was inspired to become classified for para dressage after watching the 2012 London Olympics.
Izzy began competing in 2013 and had a successful year winning the Para Talent Development competition. She was also successful in national competitions, gaining a place on the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Excel Talent programme.
In 2014, Izzy and her pony Gregonne Coco Chanel became the Grade 3 Restricted National Champions at both the Winter and Summer Dressage Championships. They have also participated in their first Junior International competition representing Great Britain, which took place at Bishop Burton College, in addition to many other achievements.
Her current ride 'Coco' is a 14.3hh Welsh x Thoroughbred 17 year old mare.
Izzy's long term goal is to represent Great Britain in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
